About Us


Si Fu Clodoaldo S. Castro (Fat Yan, ) was born in Minas Gerais (Brazil) in 1971. Since his 15 years, has experiencing, researching, and graduating in Kung Fu, Tai Chi Chuan and Yoga approaches, inside of a serious and committed scope.

He has done travels to China and United States for demonstrations, deepening of knowledge and participations in international championships (Which won a Gold Medal and a Bronze Medal in China, 2009, and two Gold Medals in Hong Kong, 2010. In both events he represented the Brazil).
The TAO - Centro de Cultura Oriental school founded in 1996 by Si Fu* Clodoaldo S. Castro (Which the old name was Associação Shaolin Kung Fu Garra De Águia and Tai Chi Chuan), has as mission the perpetuation and preservation of the Traditional Chinese Martial Art (Kung Fu and Tai Chi Chuan) with a different form, focusing the physical, mental and spiritual aspects. Thus, making possible a deep approach of this art.

The Tao* word in chinese means, literally, Way. Here it is employed without any religious connotation and in the literal meaning of the expression, but in interpretation of a detachment of the way, indicating a expansion of consciousness, the awakening of human superior potentials and its possible evolution. For this, using the knowledge and culture from humanity, in a spirit of reciprocity and respect.


TAO: Head and Way, also bringing the connotation of "Way", “Walker” and the act of walk.
